The inspiration behind this headdress comes from traditional Sugpiaq patterns seen all throughout ancestral Sugpiaq clothes, talking rocks, petroglyphs, ancestral headdresses and traditional Sugpiaq embroidery patterns.

Here the subtle patterns seen in the black beads are patterns seen etched in talking rocks.
